In Marrakech, you may wish to discover the famous medina, lively souks, and historical landmarks. If arriving in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara”, you can enjoy the calm atmosphere of this desert city famous for its film studios and historic kasbahs.

This first day allows you to rest and prepare for the trekking adventure ahead in the spectacular Jbel Saghro Mountains.

We stop in Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Morocco, where many international films were shot. After exploring the area and enjoying lunch, we continue our journey along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

Along the way we pass through Skoura Oasis, known for its palm groves, and Kalaat M’Gouna, the center of Morocco’s Rose Valley, famous for its annual rose festival and rose products.

By late afternoon we reach Tagdilte Village, located at the foot of the Jbel Saghro mountain range. Here you will meet the trekking team, including mule handlers and guides.

From the summit you will enjoy breathtaking views across the vast volcanic mountains and desert valleys that stretch to the horizon.

After spending time admiring the scenery and taking photos, we descend through rugged mountain trails and fascinating volcanic rock formations toward Iglli.
