The following itineraries are ideal for families with children aged 8 years and older. For families with active children aged 12+, more challenging options—such as the Mount Toubkal summit trek—can also be arranged.

Itinerary
Day 1: Imlil – Tizi n’Tamaterte – Tachdirt
Your family trek begins in Imlil, the main trekking village in the High Atlas. The trail climbs gradually toward Tizi n’Tamaterte Pass, offering spectacular mountain views and a comfortable pace for children.
After lunch at the pass, continue toward Tachdirt, one of the highest villages in the Atlas Mountains. Overnight in a welcoming local guesthouse.
Approx. 5–6 hours walking | Altitude: 1,740m → 2,300m
Day 2: Tachdirt – Imnane Valley – Imsker
Leaving Tachdirt, we walk through traditional villages and terraced fields along the beautiful Imnane Valley, one of the most scenic and peaceful areas in North Africa.
The route is varied but gentle, making it ideal for families. We arrive in Imsker in the afternoon and spend the night in a local gîte. Extra days can be added here if you wish to slow the pace.

Day 3: Imsker – Tizi n’Libour Pass – Tizi Oussem
Today’s trek takes us from Imsker up to Tizi n’Libour Pass, rising from 1,600m to 2,100m. From the pass, enjoy stunning panoramic views over the Azzaden Valley, considered one of the most beautiful valleys in the Toubkal region.
After lunch, we descend toward Tizi Oussem, where families can enjoy a well-earned traditional hammam (steam bath)—a relaxing and fun cultural experience for all ages. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse.
Approx. 6–7 hours walking
Day 4: Tizi Oussem – Waterfalls – Imlil
On the final day, we trek back toward Imlil, passing the largest waterfall in the Toubkal region, a highlight for children and adults alike.
Lunch is taken at Tizi Mzzik (2,500m), after which you may walk alongside the mules for the final stretch back to Imlil. From here, transfer to your next destination or accommodation.
