Starting from the picturesque Berber village of Imlil, the trek crosses the beautiful Azzaden Valley, known for its traditional villages, green terraces, and impressive waterfalls. Along the way, trekkers climb high mountain passes and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Atlas peaks.
The highlight of the trek is crossing the Aguelzim Pass (3,560 m), one of the highest passes in the region, offering stunning views across the Atlas Mountains and toward the towering summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m).

Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi N’Mzik Pass – Azzaden Valley
SYour trekking adventure begins with a morning transfer from Marrakech to the mountain village of Imlil (1,780 m), the main starting point for treks in Toubkal National Park.
After meeting your local guide and trekking team, the journey begins with a steady ascent through the scenic Imlil Valley toward the Tizi N’Mzik Pass (2,450 m). From the top of the pass, you will enjoy your first panoramic views of the spectacular High Atlas Mountains.
The trail then descends into the beautiful Azzaden Valley, one of the most scenic valleys in the Atlas range. Along the way you will pass terraced fields, traditional Berber villages, and walnut groves.
A stop is made at the Azib n’Tamsoult mountain refuge, located near the impressive Ighouliden Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in the Toubkal region. This is a perfect place to rest and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery.
The trek continues gradually uphill toward your accommodation for the night at the Lipeney Refuge (3,000 m) or nearby mountain lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay in the refuge surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Atlas Mountains.

Day 2: Azzaden Valley – Aguelzim Pass – Toubkal Refuge
CAfter breakfast, the trek continues with one of the most challenging but rewarding sections of the route.
You will climb steadily toward the Aguelzim Pass (3,560 m), a high mountain pass that connects the Azzaden Valley with the Toubkal massif. The ascent is demanding but offers incredible views across the surrounding mountain ranges.
From the top of the pass, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, as well as the rugged peaks and valleys of the Atlas Mountains.
After a well-earned break and lunch with stunning views, the trail descends toward the Toubkal Base Camp, located near the famous Neltner Refuge (3,200 m).
The afternoon is free to relax, acclimatize to the altitude, and prepare for the early morning summit climb.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Toubkal refuge where trekkers from around the world gather before attempting the summit.

Day 3: Toubkal Refuge – Summit of Mount Toubkal – Imlil – Marrakech
Today begins very early in the morning for the summit ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m).
The climb takes approximately 3 hours, gradually ascending through rocky slopes and mountain ridges. Reaching the summit is a truly unforgettable moment.
From the top, you will enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views across the Atlas Mountains, stretching toward the Sahara Desert in the south and the plains of Morocco in the north.
After celebrating your achievement and taking photos at the summit, the trek descends back to the Toubkal Refuge where you will stop for a short rest and lunch.
The journey then continues down the well-known trekking path toward Imlil, passing through mountain landscapes and small Berber settlements.
Upon arrival in Imlil, your driver will transfer you back to Marrakech, where the tour typically ends in the late afternoon.
