Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel or traditional riad in the city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to relax or enjoy a first stroll through the lively streets of Marrakech. Overnight in a comfortable riad.
Note: This itinerary is flexible and may be adjusted due to weather conditions or local considerations.
Day 2: Marrakech – Barrage Amizmiz – Aït Zitoun
After breakfast, we depart Marrakech and drive towards Barrage Amizmiz, located at the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. On the way, we visit the vibrant souk of Lalla Takerkoust, where locals trade fresh produce and traditional goods.
Here, you meet your mule team and begin your first walk through gently rolling hills, passing small farms and cultivated fields of corn, maize, and olive trees. The day ends in Aït Zitoun, where you stay in a traditional Berber house and experience genuine mountain hospitality
Day 3: Aït Zitoun – Tizgui – Aït Ahmed
Today’s trek leads into the foothills of the High Atlas. We ascend gradually toward Tizgui village, dramatically perched at an altitude of 1,600 meters. From here, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Haouz Plain stretching toward Marrakech.
In the afternoon, we follow ancient mule paths through a peaceful pine forest before reaching Aït Ahmed village, where you settle in for the night surrounded by mountain landscapes and rural tranquility.
Day 4: Aït Ahmed – Imin’Tala – Traditional Bread-Making Experience
The trail takes us toward Imin’Tala, overlooking the Amezmiz River. Along the way, you’ll observe impressive examples of traditional Berber engineering: terraced fields, irrigation channels, and stone-and-earth houses built in harmony with nature.
In the afternoon, enjoy a hands-on bread-making class, learning an essential part of daily Berber life. This cultural exchange offers a deeper understanding of local customs and traditions. Overnight in a guesthouse
Day 5: Imin’Tala – Azgour – Marrakech
After breakfast, we cross a mountain pass at 1,800 meters, heading toward Jbel Allaghine. The route winds through serene pine forests and offers spectacular views of the snow-capped High Atlas peaks.
Descending toward Tnirt village, we continue into the Lamdinate Valley before meeting our vehicle in Azgour. We then return to Marrakech, where you spend your final night in a charming traditional riad with an interior garden.
Day 6: Marrakech – Airport Departure
Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time to explore the legendary Jamaa El Fna, famous for its storytellers, musicians, and vibrant atmosphere. Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
