DETAILS

Day 1 MARRAKECH/IMLIL

Transfer to Imlil (1,740m), set in the upper level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains.Meet your local guide and departure towards the south to the Berber village of Aremd a singular village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley, built seemingly house upon house on a large moraine spur, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn and vegetables and always surrounded by almond and walnut trees. Overnight and diner in a local house. Approx 03h30 walking.

After a leisurely breakfast we set off eastwards along one of the many paths streaming out from the surrounding hills via long, winding mule tracks to Tizi M’Zik (2664m), We descend to the Âazib Tamsoult (2145m). Overnight and diner in a camp. Approx 05h30 walking.
After our Berber breakfast, As dawn breaks, go out for the final phase your expedition. Cross the Tizi Tacht ( 2.100 m) and descend till the Berber hamlet of Imi Oughlad (1430m), Meet our car and drive back to Marrakech. Approx 05 h walking.
