It takes around 1h30 drive to Imlil valley which is the closer starting point of trekking tours towards this highest peak in Morocco. You would need at least 2 days so as to climb up Mt Toubkal, but this is possible if you are fit enough; otherwise it would be better to opt for the 3 days trek which will give enough time to acclimitize and relax after the climb! 2 Days Atlas family Trek

Day 1 : Marrakech to Tizi Oussem You will be picked up by your guide and driver, who will drive you to Imlil toIMG_2117 start your adventure. There you meet your group muleteers and start walking. The hike starts at 1740m above the sea level and goes up to 2489m over the breathtaking Tizi-n-Mezzik mountain pass which offers you a panoramic view of the Imlil area. Delicious field lunch is followed by the walk down to Tamssoult. If you are not too tired yet, your guide will take you to discover the waterfall of Igholidn before heading back down to the village of Tizi Oussm (1800m) where the night is spent in a gite. Total of 5 to 6h hours walking. Day 2: Tizi Oussem to Marrakech IMG_2120After breakfast you walk down through the Azzaden valley to the village of Aid Aissa from where the path takes you over the Tizi-n-Oudit mountain pass (2219m) and back down to the village of Mattat where lunch is waiting for you. 3 Days Trek  – Agelzim pass and Toubkal Ascent Trek itinerary : Day 1 : Marrakech to Azib Tamssoult Transfer from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains: 1:30 minute drive to Imlil (1740m), famous starting point for mountaineering trips. Discover the area and hike up to Tizi-n-Mezzik mountain pass (2489m). Enjoy the magic view of Imlil area and Azzaden valley. Field lunch prepared by our cook in the middle of a jeneper forest. After lunch, walk down the valley of Azzaden to the summer village of Tamssoult (2250m). Overnight in the refuge or camp. 5h walking. Day 2 : Azib Tamssoult to Toubkal refuge Walk along the river up to waterfall of Igholidn. Continue hiking up to Tizi-n-ougelzim mountain pass (3600m). This is a good acclimatization for the summit the day after. Enjoy the spectaculare view of the Haouz plaine and Toubkal summit, the Highest North Africa’s peak during your picnic on the pass. Atlas Mountains Escape 3 Days   This Trek is an interesting 3 day walk via several ancient  berber villages & valleys of Imlil and Azzaden, meet the berber communauty. Suitable for families with kids, elderly people, the route itself is comfortable for a mule ride instead as well as for walking, cross scenic mountain pass & villages, enjoy an overview of a typical & authentic valley. Day 1: Marrakesh – Imi Oughlad – Tinzert : You’ll leave the vehicle on the road up towards Imlil at Imi Oughlad (1,450m) where you will meet your Berber muleteer and guide. Your first day will be an easier aclimatisation trek in the Ouirgane National Park. The terrain here is gentler with copper green soil and juniper trees. Overnight in Gite in Tinzert, a small rustic Berber Village. Aprox. 4 hrs walking time. Day 2: Tinzert – Azzaden Valley (Ait Aissa): After breakfast you’ll head up and out of the valley and traverse over to the stunning Azzaden Valley. into the Berbers Tribes Trek of 5 Days Day 1: Amizmiz to Imzayn Arrive at Amizmiz from Marrakech in the morning and set out towards the Anogal valley. We pass by the village of Ait Hamd and have lunch by the river facing the village of Igordan that’s on the top of the hill. After lunch, we carry on and get to Imzayn where we stay at a local Berber home, relaxing with a beautiful view from the rooftop. We spend the night in Imzayn. About 5 hours of inclined, but not steep, walking during the day. Day 2: Imzayn to Lmedinat We set out walking in the morning, going by the spring at Imintala, a beautiful valley system with a panoramic view of the river-bed and its green fields to both sides. We pass by the canyon and through the pine forest where we have lunch beneath the trees. After lunch, we pass by several villages until we finally get to the village of Lmedinat and arrive at a Berber home for more cultural experiences and accommodation for the night. Trek overview : This scenic trek leads across three valleys of the High Atlas mountains. The diverse nature with a variety of flora and fauna offers a unique trekking experience with many fabulous views of the dozens of mountain peaks. Picnics at the plateaus are a part of it. The cultural heritage of the region will be explored during village walks observing the daily activities. Berber people are shy, they do not like to be the center of attention and interaction with foreigners is often complicated. High Atlas Trek Itinerary : Day 1: Transfer from the airport or from your hotel or riad  in Marrakech to Imlil at Tagadirte berber village. From Imlil (1740m) we walk to Tacheddirt (2300m) via Tizi ‘n Tamatert (2279m) pass. We spend the night in a local gite. In summer it is also possible to spend the night in tents. Approx. 4 hours walking. Day 2: Today we walk from Tacheddirt to Imsker (1300m) down the Imnane valley crossing the following Berber villages: Ounskra, Tamguiste ,Ikkis, Amssakrou and Arg. We spend the night in a local gite or in tents. Approx. 5 hours walking. Day 3: Imsker (1300m) to Tizi Oussem (1900m) via Tizi ‘n Lbour (1500m) pass, Imlil valley, Tizi ‘n Tacht pass (2000m), Ait Aissa village (Azzaden valley).   Atlas Mountains Day Trip: Trip overview : Only at 64 kilometers from the red city of Marrakech, Imlil is the last step before the ascent of the highest peak in north africa Toubkal and the departure of many walks. Toubkal is the highest mountain peak in North Africa ascending at 4167 m / 13671 ft. After crossing the gorge of Asni, a picturesque village known for its weekly souk on Saturday, the road continues along a green valley where the mountains and impressive natural bastions, play with colors. In the village there are the old kasbahs overlooking the valley. Further down towards Moulay Brahim, the Kik plateau appears the gorgeous Lake Takerkoust, a special Sunday visit site for many Marrakchi families, Details of the Day Trip  to Imlil Departure from Marrakech at 9:00 . Stop at Asni to visit the souk on Saturday (depending on the day of the week, visit Moulay Brahim) and further more to Imlil.
