Day Walks from Chez Maachou or Similar : Tizi n Tamatert Pass Day Walk: A gentel walk to the est of chez Maachou towards Tizi n’Tamaterte (2279m) will take you to see the most typical valley in the high atlas mountains, which Imnane valley, several berber villages and also a spectavulaire view of the high atlas mountains, lunch on the pass & a break before going back to the house. Tinmel Mosque Day Trip

Tinmel Mosque Day Trip Overview : The Tin Mel Mosque is a mosque located in the High Atlas mountains of North Africa. It was built in 1156 to commemorate the founder of the Almohad dynasty, Mohamed Ibn Tumart. It is one of the two mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims, the other being the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. Hiting the R203 road which leads to Taroudant through the Asni and Ouirgane way, we arrive at Tinmel, home to the Almohade Dynasty where we can still see pieces of the Medieval fortress, the royal necropolis shelters, the remains of the founder Abdel Moumen and the spiritual master Ibn Toumert. . The mosque has been recently refurbished and it is a model of the Almohade art. On the way of return, we stop to Ouirgane, considered a gastronomic place where we have lunch. Toubkal Ascent

Toubkal Ascent trek of 2 Days At 4,167m, Toubkal Summit   is the highest Peak in North Africa ( know by the roof of north africa) . The walk to the summit is challenging, but it requires no mountaineering experience and the panoramic view from he summit makes the hard walk worthwhile. With the start of the trek just a couple of hours drive from Marrakech, you can reach the summit and back within a week and still have time to explore the red city of  Marrakech.   Day 1: After a transfer to the little village of Imlil we begin our trek. Heading along the Mizane Valley, we first pass the village of Aremd and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. We then continue east and by crossing the flood plains our route takes us along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. Crossing the river we eventually come to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims. Trek itinerary : This Popular trek includes Mount Toubkal ascent  4167M and walks past several ancient  Berber villages with a more detailed view on one village chosen according to personal preference. Besides wonderful views from the Toubkal Mountain, the green Ourika valley (Setti Fadma village) with a river cutting it in half is another hidden gem of this walk. The trek continues up to Tacheddirt pass (3200 m) offering a view over the majority of the Atlas summits.
