A Day With Atlas Berbers   Our one-day trip to Imlil offers a great opportunity to get close to nature and even closer to understanding and enjoying the fascinating Berber way of life. Trekking, fresh air, mountain trails and mint tea all contribute to a refreshing day out in the Moroccan countryside. During this Day Trip you will Discover real Berber village life Visited area : Imlil village is located at 70 km from Marrakech its part of the Ait Mizane Trib situated bellow the Toubkal mountain, the last step before the ascent of Toubkal, Imlil is known as the departure point of treks as well. After we attend the Berber village of Asni, we take the left way to reach Imlil. From here either you walk around the village or take a mule  for a short trek to get the ancient village of Mezik and Arghen where you can have lunch and enjoy the view on green Terraces and Agdals . Your Lunch is a leisurely local affair, taken in a typical Berber village guesthouse , enjoying a homemade  three course meal of Moroccan salad, couscous with lamb or perhaps a tasty vegetable tagine, fresh seasonal fruits and tea.   Atlas Mountains Day Trip: Trip overview : Only at 64 kilometers from the red city of Marrakech, Imlil is the last step before the ascent of the highest peak in north africa Toubkal and the departure of many walks. Toubkal is the highest mountain peak in North Africa ascending at 4167 m / 13671 ft. After crossing the gorge of Asni, a picturesque village known for its weekly souk on Saturday, the road continues along a green valley where the mountains and impressive natural bastions, play with colors. In the village there are the old kasbahs overlooking the valley. Further down towards Moulay Brahim, the Kik plateau appears the gorgeous Lake Takerkoust, a special Sunday visit site for many Marrakchi families, Details of the Day Trip  to Imlil Departure from Marrakech at 9:00 . Stop at Asni to visit the souk on Saturday (depending on the day of the week, visit Moulay Brahim) and further more to Imlil. Opportunity to ride a mule during 1 hours and a half, direction of the Kasbah, the waterfalls and back on the village nestled in the hills of Imlil.
