Package 1: Toubkal ascent & Cooking Class
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge
After an early breakfast at the hotel in the red city of Marrakech , our driver will pick you up and take you to the heart of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, the trek starts from Imlil (1740m), a small Berber village located at 1740m above the sea level, at 67km on the south west of Marrakech, here you will meet the team who will accompany you during this amazing adventure, the driver will drop you off in the village, the muleteers will deal with your luggage, food & all other equipments that we usually provide for our clients, within half an hour you start the walk with an experienced mountain guide through the Berber villages following a mule track which will take you to the mountain hut via the shrine Sidi Chamhrouch (2500m) where you will have your picnic lunch prepared in advance by our cook, after lunch & a short break, continue towards the refuge (3200m), as the mules walks faster, the muleteers & cook, will pass over & will be waiting for you at the hut or camp, get a tasty mint tea upon arrival while you will enjoying the scenic Mountain surrounded the based camp. The hot shower is available to clean your body and be ready for the next day.Option: the night could be spent on the toubkal refuge.or on the tents but in summer time. 5 hours walking
Day 5 : Toubkal refuge – Toubkal Summit – Imlil – marrakech
Wake up early to avoid the sunny way, breakfast around 5.00am and start the ascent climb at 5.30am, each one of you may need to pack his own pack-lunch, step by step until you get to the point above the hut where you have a short break with nuts, water & oranges etc..After 3h/4h walking up the hill, you will be able to see all the high atlas mountains like a view from the air, stunning view of the green valleys & Berber villages, a break of 45min on the summit will allow to take pictures & enjoy the views before heading down to the hut, a diversify lunch will be ready for you there. After lunch you walk down hill towards Imlil by the same route. 9 hours walking night in Imlil
Day 3: Half Day Relaxation followed by Berber Cooking Class
Day 4 : Transfer to Marrakech
Package 2: 4 Days Berber Villages Trek & Mountains Bike
The Berber valleys are home to tiny hamlets and villages of the ethnic Berbers, a herding and farming community. Visit their homes and interact with them to know more about their traditions and customs. See their terraced fields of corn and barley and get a glimpse of their day to day living.
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Tinoughrine. After a transfer to the village of Imlil, we start our trek. We walk from Imlil (1740m) towards Tinerhourhine, hereby passing by Tamatert. We will have lunch on the col of Tizi ‘n Tamatert (2279m). After lunch continue to Ouanesekra-Tamguist. Later we arrive at Tinerhourhine (1600m) where we will spend the night in a local gite. Approx. 4 hours walking.
Day 2: Tinoughrine – Ait Aissa. We depart from Tinerhourhine along the Imnane Valley, hereby we pass the Berber village Ikkiss (1700m). We then continue to Tizi n’Aguersioual (2000m) and will have our lunch at Matate (2000m). We will spend the night in a local gite in Aït Aïssa (1800m). Approx. 6 to 7 hours walking.
Day 3: Ait Aissa – Tizi Oussem – Imlil. We depart from Aït Aïssa and walk towards Tizi Oussem (1900m). We pass by Tizi Mzik (2400m), and the village of Mzik before arriving back in Imlil. Approx. Night in a guesthouse, 4 hours walking time.
Day4 : Imnane Valley Mountain Bike Day Trip
Approximately 2 hours driving, 4 hours biking
Elevation: 2300 m
Start out in the morning driving from Marrakech to Imlil, often described as the Little Chamonix of Morocco. This is where your ride will begin.
The trail will take us along the southwest pass toward a village that boasts the most vibrant Berber markets in the region. These markets are held weekly. Our trail along the asphalt road will gradually ascend to the mountaintop village of Tamatert, and from there toward the pass of Tizi N’Tamatert along the winding trail. The stunning view of Toubkal, the tallest peak in Northern Africa, is a well-deserved reward for the climb to the pass.
From the top of the pass a route choice is available; descend via the single road track, or for the more adventurous spirit take the off-road route.
Peddle through the beautiful Imnan Valley, taking in the views of the lush cultivated terraces and traditional Berber villages, still steeped in the traditional way of life.
We break for lunch in Arg, where you will enjoy the traditional flavors of Berber cooking! After lunch, descend into the village of Asni, where you will have time to explore or simply relax. Your transportation will meet you, and take you back to the hustle and bustle of the red city, Marrakech!
Package 3 : Berber villages and Camel Ride Trek 5 Days
Day 1 : The pick up from your hotel in Marrakech will be around 9:00am and you’ll begin with a scenic drive through the El Haouz Plain. Stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains fill the winding roads, from where you’ll meet of our team in Moulay Brahim. Each tour includes an English-speaking guide who will assist in locating your camels and starting your ride a juniper forest, complete with stunning views of Asni and it’s surrounding villages and the High Atlas Mountains. After 1-2 hours of riding, you’ll meet your driver nearby the village of Asni and drive to Imlil valley (1740m). Imlil is a village in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco and is famous for being the starting point for climbing Mt Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa (4167m). You will start your trek amongst traditional Berber villages and have lunch and tea with a local family Imlil, night inside a guesthouse ,
Day 2 : imlil –imi oughlad –tizi n’tachte –tiziane :
Departure from imlil for a short and pleasante drive south winding our way up through the Ait Mizane gorges to arrive at the higher foothills of the western high atlas mountains and our trailhead of imi oughlad with the jbel toubkal , here we alight from our vehicle and meet up with muleteer crew . We set off up in north-westerly direction for a 2hour acclimatisation hike up , passing by cornfields woods pine and juniper to the tiz n’tachete ,where we shallstop to look back down on the imlil before carrying on for another half hour to imi n’ifri and our field picnic .thence a slow hike for about 2 and half hours south-west down along a dirt track to assif n’ ait oussaden and the red clay terraced village of tiziane
Day 3 : Tiziane – tizi n’taghrhourte – D’knt :
After breakfast we now set off on our hike up along the assif n’ait oussaden valley , passing through the wallnuts groves , up to tizi n’taghrhourte (1995m) and through to a rare almost flat strecth to arrive at assaka spring, where we will stop for our field picnic amidst and awesome silence after some 2 and half hours relatively easy walking .our afternoon’s hike takes us down along the edges of the forest untill we reach the berber village of D’knt (1870m) or agouns n Assoul where we will have our dinner and spent the in a bivouac or gite .
Day 4 : D’knt – tizi n’tagdalte – Tizi oussem :
We set off for our morning’s 3 hours hike up through groves of walnut trees, fields of corn and barley to greet the many sheep and goatherders – and women . We traverse the tizi n’tagdalte to the descent amongst the juniper trees till we come to a small spring set amongst the trees , where we will stop for our picnic .once refreshed , we are off down winding tracks of upper slopes for some 3hours to come to a small river at the beginning of the valley of assif n’ait oussaden . from here we enter the village of tizi oussem (1850m) then up to the summer village Of Tamsoult for our camp or gite.
Day 5 : Tizi oussem – ighouliden waterfalls – Tizi n Mzik – Imlil:
Today involves a fantastic climb out of the Azzadene Valley. You’ll head up the valley towards the summer village of Azib n Tamsoult from where you’ll headup to Ighouliden waterfalls prior to trek back over the pass at Tizi n Mzik (2489m) for lunch before descending down into Imlil and spend the night in Our place in imlil. or go down to marrakech.
Aprox 5 to 6 hours walking.
